Sharing the load

How many mummies out there lament the heavy bags that our kids carry each day? Textbooks, activity books, exercise books, files, calculator, chinese dictionary, macbook, charger, pencil case...
Both DS and DD carry backpacks to divide this load on both sholders. I think DS weighed it once and it came to more than 4kg. That's almost like a bag of rice on your back everyday. Walking to school, up and down the stairs. Oh, and my fren's daughter fell 'cos her bag was too heavy of load imbalance. :-(
Made this for DD to carry her files and some books separately from her backpack. I carry this for her (no pics on Stomp, please!) and pass it to her when she's nearer school. Since it's almost SA1 time, there's more filing to do and that's why more files are needed. Oxford cotton exterior with calico interior. Fully-lined but not interfaced to lessen the load (every gramme counts!). Handles have been triple, quadruple-reinforced. I counted 4 files and 4 books in it this morning.
2750g = 4 files + 4 books + key + bag
