My book. Mine. Mine. Mine.

Well, not mine but I like it :-)
Struggled with it for about 3 hours, just for the stitching. There are no signature covers here 'cos I thought it would clash for attention so it's just plain white acid-free pages. 9 signatures with 7 folios give 252 sides.
I'll need to work on the horizontal lines. It's a good thing that this variegated thread is very bold against the white and covers so the letters are rather striking. Given my original choice of rose coloured thread, I don't think it would be as nice.

Have a blessed evening!

More pencil cases

It's odd sometimes when the requests come in, they come in batches. I'd get requests for similar items from different people about the same time. It's interesting to see how they pair the fabrics too. Sometimes what I think doesn't work turns out better than I imagined. So I learnt to hold back my comments on the prints of the fabric and only suggest when it comes to the weight of the fabric.
Two flat rectangular pencil cases. Both fully lined, personalised and not interfaced. Smaller one is made from linen and corduroy on the outside and lined with calico. Larger has US import super combed blue lifesavers cotton lined with Korean import blue canvas on the inside. Daiso star zip and D-ring extras.
This is my first plain linen creation and I like working with linen. There are so many types of linen out there (I bought 3 recently) and they have different textures, coarseness and colour. They match so well too. Must be why so many zakka items use them. Looking forward to more lace and embroidered items :-)
Have a blessed day!

I wonder

Sometimes I sew with a template, sometimes with some kind of measurement. Many times I just wing it, especially for prototypes. However, sometimes I do get requirements for specific measurements and while I try hard to meet these, it's, well, not so accurate. So, I wonder.... if this will fit :-)
Dimensions: 19.5cm x 10cm - SOLD

Update: this was intended for a specifc plastic box and thank God, it was a snug fit and I do not have to redo.

Thank you

There were times when I got orders wrong or mixed up or had to take it over and over again but there wasn't once when I had an unhappy customer who would reject what I had made. Thank you so much and God bless you!
Wristlet: 20cm x 11cm - not for sale
Zippered pouch - SOLD
Can you tell the difference between the 2? One's a wristlet and the other's a vanilla zippered pouch with a name label. Timeless Treasures exterior and super combed interior from the Wrap it up! range.

All I Want for Christmas is You (Mariah Carey's hit)

I sewed this wristlet while listening to this song, it's (the song) is so cheery and I especially like the bells. Listen to it here on youtube. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Hey, that's mine!

SOLD
I do not have a sewing machine that can embroider letters but since I had a request to personalise these wristlets, I thought I'd have a go at hand-sewing them. The only other personalisation I've ever done was for DD and DS, of course. DD likes the one where I sewed a fairy along with her name on her pencil case while DS prefers his felt bubble letters (oops, I just remembered that these felt bubble letters were not hand-sewn but personlised, nonetheless).
But I digress. Pic shows 3 of 4 requested personlised wristlets. Hand-sewn on cotton tape then machine-sewn onto the wristlet. Perhaps one day I'll be more adventurous and add flowers/hearts and more colours? Maybe after the fabric teddies. What do you think?
