Handmade, not machine made

I was very amused with a recent order where a young mummy wanted a toddler backpack and requested that the toddler's name be embroided on the flap. Just like this pic, she said, and sent me a pic of what she'd like. I told her I couldn't do it, seeing that the size of each letter would be about a square inch? Well, I'm not that into embroidery so I told her no. She wondered why and thought, it's simple, just sew, not realizing that thus far, I've been hand-sewing all the name tags.
Sew by hand, she asked again.
