We’ve been collecting such for years now. Sometimes family and friends pass us by the bags full. Whether from canned drinks or even milk powder tins.
These are passed to my Thai friend who either brings them back when she goes to Thailand or passes them on to anyone going that way.
What are these for?
These are eventually melted down and made into artificial limbs for those who are otherwise unable to afford them.

Hey! We are a group of students from Ngee Ann Poytechnic, Singapore. We are starting on a project with our school in coordination with SG50 to support the less fortunate with a set of prosthetic leg. I have came across your blog while searching for pictures of ring tabs. Upon reading, I hope I can get your attention on this matter : Which is to provide us with the ring tabs that you have been collecting, in order to speed up the pace of this project to bring greater convenience to the people who needs our help as soon as possible. However, I have read and understood that you posted this in 2011, and I sincerey hope that this act is still in process.
