Origami wreaths

DD and I made the larger one last night and the smaller one this morning. The shiny gold paper has stars on it. Bought years ago from Watsons. They might still have it. Followed steps found here.

Round and round

I don't crochet very fast 'cos I don't hold the crochet needle in the 'proper' way. I get it done but not in very fluid motions like some :-)

Anyway, I found this acrylic yarn at Spotlight. At 100g, this means less ends to join and a smoother result. This backpack took less than 200g. I used mostly half-double stitches crocheted in the round. No pattern, just imagination and some rework, especially for the flap to be nice and flat with minimal bumps. The closure is a slim and shiny slide lock that I found at Jalan Sultan years ago. It's still rather shiny :-)

I need to make another one. This time it'll be in just 1 colour. I'll need to see if I can find a similar slide lock too. Maybe I just might make one for myself :-)

Sale has ended

First, an apology. I haven't been updating this blog diligently the past few days with the clearance sale items and even the flash sale. It's over now. Ended at noon yesterday.

Thank God for a wonderful clearance sale!

We took advantage of the UnderWaterWorld deal yesterday morning too, where admission charges dropped to more than 50% off. While it didn't occur to me that we'd be going round and round on the conveyor belt so many times, it was a very enjoyable time.

Anyway, the sale has ended.

I've already messaged all who'd reserved items and I hope to mail them out by today else early next week.

With this, I'll be taking a short break and thank you for dropping by.

I'm not stopping crafting, just slowing down the pace :-)

I'll be taking on something new from next year for 3 years. It's something I've been looking forward to though I'm still waiting for final confirmation that it's on. It's going to take up most of my time so I'll have less time to craft :-(

I'll still craft though, but I won't be taking any more customised orders.
