Fundraising on facebook for Red Cross–SEA Floods

Made some more tissue cases to keep the unsold ones company. Selling these on facebook till 4 Nov to raise more funds.
Some patterns have multiple pieces, some with same lining, some with different.
Each is going at S$4 with 100% proceeds to Red Cross – SEA Flodos. You’ll have to pay for shipping if you’re not picking them up from me.
If you would like a tissue case but not in any of these fabrics, please place an order before 4Nov for 100% funds to go to Red Cross. This is subject to confirmation.

Finally some pics

Sorry for the delay. I only just realised that I didn’t post any pics of what we’ve been selling to raise funds for the Red Cross – SEA Floods fund.

I also didn’t take any pics of the earlier batch. Normally I take pics, just for sentimental reasons, but we’ve been rushing and rushing to get as many items ready as possible. I must have broken my all-time record of number of items made in 1 day, last week.

Oh, I forgot to tell you what we sold and are still selling.

S$2 – single signature notebooks with acid free cardstock covers that you can decorate yourself. Pages inside are mostly pastel-coloured. Few are white.

S$4 – tissue cases made from quilting-weight cotton from Japan, Korea, US and Australia, lined with coordinating fabric. Yes, it comes with an unopened pack of tissue :-)

S$12 – quilted cover notebooks with six signatures hand-bound to the spine using criss-cross longstitch. Each have metal snap closures and a ribbon page marker.

Fundraising update: RedCross - SEA Floods

Yesterday evening, my Thai friend shared with us what was happening back home. How her brother who lives on the ground floor may be facing a 1.8m water submerging when the floodgates are open, yet has no time to pack his things to higher ground because he has to help others. How her friends and relatives are stocking up on water, not just to drink but for hygiene purposes. How they do not know how long they have to hold out with limited food, water and electricity.

Fundraising: Floods in the Land of Smiles

The last time I was in Thailand was few years back and we had such an enjoyable time with friends. Thailand brings many fond memories. My good friend is also from there and from her, I've developed a huge appetite for Thai food despite my lack of tolerance for chilli.
Anyway, I've decided to raise funds from today till 4Nov2011 for the Thailand floods by selling some of my handmade items.
